Switchbacks 2 Set For Fall 2024 MPL Debut

Switchbacks 2 are one of the new clubs in Mountain Premier League this Fall. The club is known for having one of if not the best fan bases in Colorado soccer at Weidner Field where Switchbacks 2 are set to play their home games.  

 

In 2023 Pride Switchbacks brought a young group to the league that finished the campaign strong climbing up the table. They also brought the support of their beloved Trailheads SG to the away venues that turned up the atmosphere.

 

Head coach Keelan Power shared this with MPL, "With the start of our new team we are excited to join MPL as our new league. Given the level and quality of the league we can’t wait to get started with games and be competing with these teams on a weekly basis.” 
 

MPL plans to kickoff the full table the second weekend in September. MPL is a US Soccer sanctioned amateur league under USASA and NISA Pro regional affiliate league. MPL teams are eligible for USASA National Amateur Cup, US Open Cup Qualifying, NISA Independent Cup, and the NISA Nation National Championship. MPL is open to men's and women's teams across the Mountain Region, attracting teams from Colorado Wyoming Utah western Nebraska/Kansas and Idaho.
